Participant Privileges
There are some perks that Education Encore participants
enjoy, which includes use of the following facilities.
Participants are required to present their student I.D.
Bookstore
The campus bookstore has all the supplies you will need for
your classes. Browse through the large selection of supplies,
textbooks, and campus must-haves. The bookstore also
offers official Gulf Coast State College apparel and
Commodores merchandise.
Library
The college library provides research materials and Internet
access. There are over 80,000 books and 900 journal
subscriptions from which to choose.
The Wellness Center
The Wellness Center includes a pool, a hydro-therapy pool,
and a fully equipped weight and fitness room.
Athletic Events
Enjoy watching the Commodores take on the competition in
baseball, basketball, softball, and volleyball. No matter what
your favorite sport, the games are sure to be tons of fun.
Amelia G. Tapper Center For The Arts
See some of GCSC’s most talented students performing on
the Amelia Center Main Stage. The Visual and Performing
Arts Division sponsors several theatre and concert events
each semester. Encore participants may attend many of these
events free of charge or at discounted rates.
Field Trips
Each semester the Panama City Campus offers
several fun-filled day trips to the historical,
cultural, environmental or entertainment sites in
the area. Announcement of field trip destinations
and registration for the bus trip will begin during
Initial Registration.
Visit the Welcome Station during the semester
to reserve your spot for other special events. All
costs, while on field trips, are the responsibility of
the participant.
