Building Construction Technology - Sustainable Design Option, A.S.

The Building Construction Sustainable Design program will prepare you for a career in the residential and commercial construction industry. Your career possibilities include construction supervisor, job foreman, construction planner, or office support staff performing such duties as purchasing or estimating. You'll learn communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, assisting architects and architectural engineers in planning and designing structures, using construction materials, and dealing with contracts and specifications.

With this program, you will obtain broad, transferable skills to employ you in various jobs and positions. You will better understanding and be able to demonstrate the following elements of the Architectural Design and Construction industry: planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.

If you are a high school graduate, you can apply to this program.
