Earth/Space Science Education, AA

Do You Love Science and Teaching?

Do you like the outdoors, mountains, volcanoes, minerals, fossils, or beach? Are you interested in chemistry and chemistry experiments? Do you like plants, animals, and other organisms? Do you have an interest in electricity, force, gravity, and optics? Have you ever wanted to share your passion of the sciences with young people? If so, Gulf Coast State College can prepare you for a career in science education. In this career, educators have the opportunity to explore Earth’s place in our universe, examine the flora and fauna of an ecosystem, explore chemical reactions of various materials, design projects using force, gravity, electricity, and light, and evaluate processes that occur at the Earth’s surface and throughout our oceans.

Our professors will prepare you with a solid foundation to ensure your success at a top university in Florida. The classes you will take to earn your AA degree will fulfill General Education Core requirements that seamlessly transfer to a university to count toward your bachelor’s degree. Gulf Coast’s core courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and behavioral sciences will give you basic knowledge that you will use throughout your career in science education.
