With a degree in recreation, you will help others find the best way to relax and slow down in today's fast-paced society. You will create programs, events and experiences to help serve and impact individual people and communities. While many of us are looking for opportunities to relax, have fun and meet others, you will be the one organizing, creating and implementing these opportunities. 

This program will prepare you for a career in leisure services. Universities and four-year colleges offer a variety of leisure services programs including resort and commercial recreation, corporate and industrial recreation, fitness management, municipal and county recreation, therapeutic recreation, and teacher certification. Who is eligible for the recreation program Option, Liberal Arts A.A. program?

If you are a high school graduate, you can apply to this program.

If you have earned credits from a regionally accredited college or university, you may have a head start at Gulf Coast State College.
