The mission of the Veterans’ Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is to help create, develop, and retain veteran-owned small businesses.
The VBOC provides entrepreneurial development services such as training through workshops and the internet, counseling, technical assistance, and resource utilization to Veterans, Reservists, National Guard Members, and Active Duty business owners in the Southeast Region of the USA (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky). This program is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration to serve as a clearinghouse of business and technical assistance for those veterans interested in starting or expanding a business. We are just one of five VBOCs in the country under the SBA Veterans’ Business Outreach program (VBOP). Through collaborative efforts of SBA partners such as Small Business Development Centers, Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), One Stop Capital Shops, Women’s Business Centers, and Business Information Centers, we are able to assist individuals through each phase of their business development.
