Massage Therapy (MT-ATC)
AREA OF CONCENTRATION: The advanced technical
certificate (ATC) in massage therapy is a 10‐credit certificate
program for graduates of the Physical Therapist Assistant
program. The program is dedicated to advancing the science
and art of soft tissue mobilization in an effort to enhance the
quality of therapeutic treatment and promoting patient
wellness. The purpose of offering the program to our
graduates is to increase their knowledge and performance of
manual skills and to improve their qualifications for a job in
physical therapy. Successful graduates of this curriculum are
eligible to take the national certification examination through
the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and
Bodywork, and upon satisfactory achievement, become
licensed Massage Therapists
