Drafting and Design Technology (DRFT-AAS)

PROGRAM GOAL: The purpose of this program is to prepare students for careers as drafters/designers in either architecture or industrial mechanical occupations. The program features the use of both board drawing and computer assisted drafting featuring the latest release of AutoCAD. All advanced design classes use the computer to produce the designs and working drawings. The primary goal of the program is to prepare students for employment after graduation, but many students elect to transfer to schools of architecture or engineering technology after completing the general education requirements of an A.A. degree.
