Pre-Communication PROGRAM GOAL: The purpose of this program is to prepare students as media creators, writers, and practitioners in radio, television, and the multimedia. Students will participate in real-time laboratory experiences and classroom exercises that introduce them to media outlets in the community as well as on-air and production work for WKGC-AM/FM, the public radio stations associated with Gulf Coast Community College. Most students use this knowledge and background to continue their formal education toward a bachelor's degree in general or mass communications at a four-year institution.
