Financial aid is any grant, scholarship, part-time employment opportunity or loan that helps you pay for education related expenses. Such aid can be provided by federal, state, college, and/or private agencies.
Applying for financial aid begins with submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To submit a FAFSA:
Gather your and your parent's / your spouse's federal income tax forms (1040, W-2s, 1099s)
Answer the FAFSA's questions using your federal income tax forms, noting that GCSC's school code is 001490
Sign & submit your FAFSA using your FSA password
Apply for admissions to GCSC in an aid eligible program by clicking here

GCSC offers the following types of aid to eligible students:
Pell Grant The Pell Grant is the largest federally funded undergraduate grant program. Awards range from $581 to $5,775 for the 2015-2016 aid year and are based on enrollment status and expected family contribution as determined by information provided on FAFSA.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
FSEOG is a
federally funded grant program awarded by the Financial Aid Office to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need and complete the FAFSA before April 1st.
Irag and Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG) A grant provided by the federal government to qualified undergraduate students who complete a FAFSA and have a parent or guardian that died as a result of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Federal Work Study (FWS)
FWS is a federally funded, need based student work program. Indicate your interest in student employment on the FAFSA application. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office or online. Click here to e-mail questions
Federal Direct Stafford Loans
Federal Student loans are funds that students borrow and will have to be repaid with interest. ALL loan types require a FAFSA. Click the loans link on the side bar for more information about loans.

Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)
a state funded grant available to students who meet eligibility criteria as determined by the Florida Department of Education.
First Generation Matching Grant (FGMG)
The First Generation Matching Grant is a jointly funded by GCSC Foundation and the Florida Department of Education. This grant provides assistance to low-income Florida residents who are the first in their family to attend college and who complete the FAFSA early.
A FAFSA is required in order to be considered for the FSAG & FGMG programs.
Workforce Training Center
The Workforce Training Center at GCSC is a state funded service provider offering educational training opportunities in A.S., Certificate, and Vocational careers that are high wage and high demand occupations. Visit http://careersourcegc.com for more details.
