The Gulf Coast Community College Foundation, Inc., was incorporated on October 16, 1967 by the State of Florida as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The original charter was signed by Dr. Richard Morley, president of GCCC at the time of incorporation, Captain Mark Starkweather, Mrs. Mark Starkweather, Mrs. M.F. Parker, Amos Howard, John Moseley, and Roland Vines. Since that time, the Foundation has grown considerably in membership and assets while remaining faithful to its original philosophy and purpose.
VISION STATEMENT
Based on the principles of trust and integrity, the vision of the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation is to advance the causes of Gulf Coast Community College.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Gulf Coast Community College Foundation's mission is to create a scholarship program providing educational opportunities to deserving students. Further, the mission of the Foundation is to enhance the educational programs and student services available at Gulf Coast Community College. Through the active involvement and leadership of citizens united by these purposes, the Foundation serves as an effective liaison between GCCC and the community. The Foundation assists the College in enriching the community through cultural opportunities and in enhancing the economic development of the community with educational programs.
