Getting your GED has never been easier! For those who cannot attend our on campus program due to transportation, childcare, work, or other situations you can study ONLINE now!
The qualifications are:
18 or older
Basic computer skills
Accessible Computer with internet access
Email Address
If you meet all of these qualifications you will need to follow a few simple steps to get started:
Call 913-2916 and schedule to come in for orientation on the main campus.
During orientation you will be given a brief overview of the GED program and then you will take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education).
An individualized plan of study will be designed for you based of the results of the TABE. In order for you to enroll in the online course we require your TABE to be a certain level. The TABE is not a pass or fail test, it just helps us determine what skills you have already mastered and what areas you need to work on.
The GED online course has a separate 30 minute orientation that gives you access and an overview of the online course materials.
I hope this information helps! We appreciate your interest in our program and look forward to hearing from you. Please call 769-1551, ext. 5890 or email us at gedonline@gulfcoast.edu for further information on the GED test or online program.
