Graduation

The highlight of the Passport Program comes once a year when students who have earned their GED are invited to participate in a special graduation ceremony. The ceremony is held in the grand Amelia Theater on the GCCC main campus. Inspirational speakers for the evening are Passport students from the graduating class. Some students have waited for what seems a lifetime for this moment. As one journey ends, another begins.

Friends and family members of Passport graduates are encouraged to come and celebrate their loved one’s accomplishments. The evening provides the perfect backdrop for photos that will capture memories of pride and joy. Everyone is also welcome to attend a reception in honor of the graduates following the ceremony.

After graduation transitions counselors are available to help Passport students and graduates with:

• Career counseling
• Resume and employment search assistance
• Assistance with transitions to college or other vocational programs
