Application Deadline and Acceptance Notification

Applications for the full-time, Traditional Dental Assisting Program should be submitted early in the spring or summer for the following fall semester. For the DEAL Program applications should be submitted prior to the beginning of each term.

Part-time students may apply at the beginning of each semester by contacting dental faculty members and setting up an appointment for advisement.

Acceptance Notification: Full-time students are notified prior to the beginning of the term upon completion of their application packet. Part-time students are accepted on a space available basis at the beginning of each semester.

SELECTION CRITERIA AND INFORMATION

Selection for the program is based upon placement test scores, college or high school grade point averages, college credits in the science/math areas, general education courses, college degrees or certificates completed, and dental or medical experience. All COMPLETED applications are reviewed by the admissions committee in the order in which they are received. Remaining QUALIFIED applicants are placed on an alternate list to be notified as space becomes available.

Applications are considered for each class and are not held over for the next selection process. It is the student's responsibility to renew and update their application for the next year.
