• Traditional Surgical Technology Program - concentrated courses in Surgical Technology for a one-year program; 15 months with prerequisites.  Surgical Technology core courses of program begin in January with graduation in December each year.
• Central Sterile Processing Department Program (CSPD)
  Part-time evening and online classes to work in Sterile Processing Department. Course covers the decontamination, processing, and storage of supplies and equipment for healthcare agencies.

• Registered Nurse First Assistant Program - two classes:
  
  NUR2790 RNFA Theory -  3 credits; online web-based; open-entry, open-exit course allows you to work at your own pace and in your own time. Join the class anytime January through August each year.

  NUR2790L RNFA LAB and Clinical - 6 credits; one week of hands-on training and testing on site at the beautiful Panama City campus followed by clinical experiences with your local healthcare facilities and surgeon sponsor.  Web-based online component allows you to prepare for surgical procedures with confidence.

• Perioperative Training for Registered Nurses - Want to work in the OR, but you have no experience? Take the initiative to train.  OR Managers are looking for self-starters.   Training for Intraoperative Nursing requires technical knowledge of procedures, equipment, instruments, and supplies plus the assessment and planning skills to promote optimum patient care outcomes.  For current information, please call Libby McNaron at (850) 873-3551 or e-mail at lmcnaron@gulfcoast.edu .

  • Perioperative Nursing Theory Course Syllabus - NUR2290, offered every Summer as a web-based program.  Work at your own speed and gain the knowledge you need.  Registration in March and April with classes starting in May.
  • Perioperative Nursing COOP/Clinical Course Syllabus - NUR2949, 3 credits; offered year round; required prerequisite or corequisite NUR2290 Perioperative Nursing Theory class.
