Honors Symposium
The Galapagos trip was a capstone to the Honors Symposium for Fall 2006 entitled, "Origins through Religion and Science." The class was team-taught by Religion Professor, Jennifer Hamilton and Biology Professor, Melissa Moore. After completing the semester long course, 11 students, 4 professors and GCSC Executive Vice President, Linda Adair, set sail for the Galapagos Islands. The students were: Paulie Bruns, Daniel Cole, John Huffman, Brooke Mixon, Zak Morozon, Chris Purpura, Brandy Robinson, Eileen Tracy, Coral Winter, Joshua Wurst, and Allyssa Yarbrough. The professors included the symposium instructors along with biology professor, Linda Fitzhugh and geology professor, Jamie Webb.
The cost of this wonderful experience was offset by a generous grant from the GCSC Foundation and support from the GCSC Student Activities Board. |
