POSITION TITLE:

Coordinator, Cooperative Education

REPORTS TO:

Chair, Business & Technology Division

BASIC FUNCTION:

Coordinate all Cooperative Education (COOP) activities such as placing students with employer opportunities

CLASSIFICATION:

12-month Professional

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in placement and job supervision for COOP students

Recruit, develop and maintain relationships with employers

Assess students COOP progress

Market COOP throughout college and community

Advise and register students in appropriate COOP courses

Attend professional, state and national meetings and conferences

Ensure program compliance with FLDOE policies/GCSC strategic plan and other GCSC policies

Assist in COOP budget preparation

Attend and participate in planning meetings, department meetings and administrative meetings

Administration of the electrical apprenticeship program

Responsible for writing, applying, justifying, and administering a FLDOE annual grant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree (MS degree preferred), minimum 3-5 yrs experience coordinating and building relationships with the community, businesses, and industries in Bay, Gulf & Franklin Counties; experience with MS Office 2007 & classroom management systems

SALARY:

Range begins at $30k/yr
