POSITION
TITLE: |
English & Speech Faculty |
REPORTS TO: |
Chair, Language & Literature |
BASIC FUNCTION: |
Teach courses in college composition, literature, public speaking, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, and small-group communication; provide a classroom environment that promotes and stimulates student learning. |
CLASSIFICATION: |
9-month, tenure-track faculty |
| RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Hold office hours, 10 hours weekly.
Advise & interact with students.
Teach, 15 hours weekly.
Other professional duties (10 hours weekly) that may include course development, assessment, club sponsorship, professional development, division meetings, covering classes, class preparation, inter-division collaboration, committee/action team responsibilities. |
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: |
MA in Speech or English with at least 18 graduate hours in both English and Speech. |
