Florida Association of Community Colleges (FACC)
FACC is the only association that represents all employees of the 28 community colleges in Florida. The
purpose of the association is to promote the development and advancement of Florida public community
college education and to play an active role in promoting legislation beneficial to the community college system
and its employees. The association also provides informal opportunities to get to know colleagues at Gulf
Coast Community College and other colleges in the system. Membership is open to all community college
employees and retirees of the community college system. Dues may be paid at one time or by payroll
deduction. Professional development activities are held throughout the year and an annual state convention is
held each fall. Additional information may be obtained from the Human Resources Office.
Gulf Coast Athletic Association
All Gulf Coast Community College employees and their families are eligible for membership in the Gulf Coast
Athletic Association. The Athletic Association is a nonprofit organization composed of interested people in the
community who wish to support Gulf Coast's outstanding intercollegiate athletic programs. The intercollegiate
programs include men's basketball, men's baseball, women's basketball, women's softball, and women's
volleyball. All membership fees and donations aid the programs with scholarship assistance, materials, and
equipment above the budgetary items provided by the college. Contributions to the association are tax
deductible.
Gulf Coast Community College Foundation, Inc.
Based on the principles of trust and integrity, the vision of the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation, Inc.,
is to advance the causes of Gulf Coast Community College. The Foundation's mission is to create a
scholarship program providing educational opportunities to deserving students. Further, the mission of the
Foundation is to enhance the educational programs and student services available at Gulf Coast Community
College.
Through the active involvement and leadership of citizens united by these purposes, the Foundation serves as
an effective liaison between GCCC and the community. The Foundation assists the college in enriching the
community through cultural opportunities and in enhancing development of the community with educational
programs.
Membership in the Foundation is open to individuals, families, and businesses. Membership options are $10,
Alumni (for three years); $25, Friend; $50, Faculty/Staff; $100, Community Annual Member; $250, Blue and
Gold Club; $500, Beacon Council; $1,000, Dean's Cabinet; $5,000 cumulative, Board of Advisors; $10,000
cumulative, President's Club; $25,000 cumulative, Trustees' Club; $50,000 cumulative, Governor's Club;
$100,000 cumulative, Tapper Circle; $500,000 cumulative, The Vanguard; $1,000,000 cumulative, The
Pinnacle. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible and may be made through payroll deduction.
