Grant Development
Gulf Coast Community College grant development is guided by the strategic plan and is focused on working with faculty and staff to secure external financial resources from federal, state, and private sources. The external funding supports important college functions such as curriculum and course development, faculty and staff development, equipment acquisition, cultural programs, outreach activities, student scholarships, student financial aid, student support services, instructional facilities, and marketing efforts.
Grant Development Mission: to increase the capacity of the college to acquire external funds to advance its ability to fulfill its mission and achieve strategic goals.
Key Tasks:
- Disseminating information about grant opportunities, processes, and resources to faculty, staff, and administrators
- Providing grant development training opportunities
- Supporting faculty, staff and administrators through the funding process
- Submitting high-quality, competitive grant proposals
- Serving as the liaison with current and potential external funding sources
