Gulf Coast Community College’s Business, Continuing and Community Education Department will be hosting the 2009 Caregiver Conference. The event is sponsored and organized by the Bay County Alzheimer’s Alliance, Inc. to honor and take care of caregivers as a token of appreciation for all they do.

The conference will cover topics such as:

• nutrition
• fall prevention
• music therapy
• bladder health.

Key note speakers include:

• Mayor Scott Clemons
• Sally Karioth, RN, Ph.D - “Laughter is the Best Medicine”
• Achraf Makki, M.D., Neurologist, - “Alzheimer and Dementia”. 

Free breakfast and lunch are provided as well as, exhibits, door prizes, and expert panels.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, however, pre-registration is required.
