Transfer Track/Veterinary Medicine (VET-AA)

AREA OF CONCENTRATION: This transfer track is designed for students seeking admission to a program of veterinary medicine. The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida requires 80 semester hours of college‐level course work before entering. However, most successful applicants have completed a bachelor’s degree. Most veterinary medicine programs require applicants to have taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Grades of C” or better are required on all professional courses; however, most successful applicants have a GPA in excess of 3.5. Academic performance, approved work experience, and professional potential are all considered by selection committees as they review applicants for veterinary medicine. Pre‐vet students are urged to review the entrance requirements for the veterinary program of their choice. Students are strongly urged to see the pre‐vet adviser for assistance in determining appropriate work experience, course selections, and residency requirements.
