Mr. Dwyer has been a full-time employee of Gulf
Coast State College since 1996, and was an adjunct instructor from 1991 to
1996. He previously served as the assistant coordinator of law
enforcement training, and then as the coordinator of law enforcement
training. He has delivered a wide variety of services/courses in the area of criminal justice.

A native of Georgia, Mr. Dwyer is a former Columbus College (now Columbus
State University) police officer, a Columbus, Georgia police officer, a Muscogee County, Georgia deputy sheriff, a Florida Probation & Parole officer,
a U. S. Army Military Policeman, and a special
agent, U. S. Army Criminal Investigation
Command.

OTHER INFORMATION
Mr. Dwyer currently serves as the chairman of
the Florida Criminal Justice Selection Center Directors Association.
Professional interests include: Member, International Association of Chiefs of
Police, Criminal
Investigation Division Agents Association, Florida
Police Chiefs Association,and Life Member, National Rifle Association. Personal interests
include Celtic history and culture, heraldry, genealogy, chivalry, and
military history. He is a member of the Board of Governors and a Fellow of the American College of
Heraldry. He serves as the American College of Heraldry treasurer
and as assistant editor of their quarterly newsletter, The Armiger's
News. A member of the Florida
Society of the Sons of the American
Revolution. Mr. Dwyer is currenlty in the one-year formation program to become a Knight of the Order of Malta. He is a Knight Commander of the Equestrian Order of
the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Mr. Dwyer
is also a Knight Commander in the
Imperial Order of the Star of Honor of Ethiopia and a Knight of the
Imperial Order of the Ethiopian Lion. He is also a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
