Q. How do I apply to the Fire Academy?

A. There are two programs in the Fire Science Academy. The first is a vocational training program designed to prepare students for Florida State Firefighter Certification. The other program leads to an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. The purpose of this program is to prepare graduates for advancement in the fire service. Completion of the company officer courses leads to Company Officer Certification; completion of the inspection courses leads to Fire Inspector Certification.
