Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for membership, a student must be currently enrolled in a degree program at Gulf Coast State College and must have completed at least 12 hours of academic credit at Gulf Coast with a minimum GPA of 3.5. This credit does not include College Preparatory English, Reading or Math or credits earned by CLEP, AP, IB, or AICE. Membership applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a Gulf Coast faculty member. The letter may be sent to Patrick Brennan, Ph.D.; Phi Theta Kappa advisor, by email at pbrennan@gulfcoast.edu.
Fees: A $72 one-time fee covers chapter, state and national memberships for your lifetime as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA. |
