The CLEP exam is available at Gulf Coast to any interested individual. Exams are computer based and scores are available immediately upon completion except for the College Composition. To register for the exams, please sign-up in the testing office, room 129 in the Admissions and Records building or use the link above. Testing time request must be made 24 hours in advance. Fees for each CLEP exam are $92.00 per exam. You will need to pay a$15.00 registration fee to Gulf Coast and $77.00 directly to CLEP via credit card, debit card, money order, cashiers check or personal check. Most exams last 90 minutes and students must report to room 129 in the Admissions and Records building 15 minutes before testing appointment.
Candidates must present two forms of identification. The primary ID must be a government issued photo ID. A secondary ID must contain either, a photo or a signature. Student ID's can only be used as a secondary ID. Dantes funded military and eligible civilian employees of the of the military must show an authorized military ID in addition to a second form of government issued ID and will pay a $15 non-refundable registration fee to GCSC. Military may take the exams at Tyndall AFB at no fee go to http://cpnta.gulfcoast.edu/testing/default.htm for testing dates and times.
**Effective 10/03/11 The only items permitted in the testing lab are your car keys and your photo ID. Everything else should be left at your home or in your car.**
CLEP testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are open sessions with other students entering and exiting the room. If you require a closed test session, please let us know by typing "closed test session" in the date and time field in the link at the top of the page. We will contact you with available dates.
* If the testing time you choose has an "*" and only if you are taking the CLEP for College Composition, you will need to arrive for testing 45 minutes prior to the testing time listed below.
