Credit by Examination Options

These options allow students to earn college credit through means other than taking courses at GCSC or other colleges. Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and Cambridge AICE are available through participation in high school. College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is an opportunity for all students to earn college credit by examination.

Up to 45 hours of nontraditional credit may be applied toward a degree. Duplicate credit will not be awarded. Credits earned will not be included on the official Gulf Coast transcript until the student has maintained enrollment in a credit course past the published drop-add period.

Please follow the links below to access scores necessary for external credit options and the credit extended at all Florida public institutions.
