The Gulf Coast State College Testing Department provides a variety of testing services for placement, academia, and certifications.
Our Testing Lab offers proctored placement (CPT), CLEP, TABE, and Pearson VUE exams. Please click a box on the left for testing times.
Our Testing Center administers proctored e-Learning, in-class (for students who need special accommodations and/or have special circumstances), non-GCSC, and Prometric exams.
Hours of Operation:
Testing Center (located on the 3rd floor of the Student Union West Building):
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday – 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday – 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Friday – 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Testing Lab (located in the Enrollment Services Annex Building):
Monday through Friday – 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Mission Statement:
The Gulf Coast State College Testing Department supports the educational mission of the College by providing high quality testing and assessment services for students. In addition, the Testing Department strives to reach out to the community by providing testing and assessment services to organizations and individuals.
The Testing Department is committed to creating a secure and optimal testing environment that promoted responsible ethical and equitable practices within an environment of continuous quality improvement by:
Adhering to the regulations and guidelines established by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA), testing companies, and faculty;
maintaining highest compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations regarding the confidentiality of test candidate information and records;
and offering collaborative and courteous service to students, faculty, staff, and community.
