Sustainable Design (SUST-CCC)
AREA OF CONCENTRATION: The purpose of this program is to
prepare students for employment as construction planners, or
to provide supplemental training for persons previously or
currently employed in these occupations.
The content includes, but is not limited to, communication
skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability
skills, safe and efficient work practices, assisting architects and
architectural engineers in planning and designing structures,
using construction materials, and dealing with contracts and
specifications.
This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses
understanding and demonstration of the following elements
of the Architectural Design and Construction industry,
planning, management, finance, technical and product skills,
underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community
issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.
