This program offers students assistance in preparing for transfer to a four-year institution. The program offers information about state universities, the application process, transcript evaluations, and course planning.
In addition, free trips to Florida universities are scheduled for qualifying students each semester. These trips provide students with a chance to experience the university environment and to tour schools they are interested in attending.
An AA degree is automatically accepted at any Florida university unless the program has limited access. Then you must meet the minimum standards in order to be accepted into that particular program of study.
You must be admitted into a college program of study at the university. You may be admitted without declaring a major, but it is usually for only one semester.
Visit the college on one of our Transfer Initiative trips.
Submit applications at least six months before you plan to graduate.
Send official transcripts from all institutions attended. Request this from the GCCC Office of Admissions and Records.
You must also send proof of your foreign language requirement. This requires at least two semesters of language at GCCC or two years of language in high school.
