Scholarship awards depend on the availability of funding and the eligibility of the individual. You might be eligible for Workforce Training assistance if you:
Are receiving food stamps.
Are in Florida’s Foster Care Program.
Are a member of a family with low income according to mandated guidelines
Are an employed worker earning over 200% of the federal poverty level OR are in danger of losing employment without training OR would have an opportunity for advancement after training
Are pregnant or a parenting youth.
Have been terminated from your job and are entitled to unemployment benefits.
Have been laid off from your job or have received notice that you will be permanently laid off due to business closure.
Have lost your primary source of income as a result of a divorce or death.
Were self-employed and lost your source of income due to economic conditions or natural disasters.
To determine eligibility, student will complete a Scholarship Pre-Application and submit it to the Workforce Training Center by mail or in person. To download a pdf application, click here.
