Eligibility
Scholarship awards depend on the availability of funding and the eligibility of the individual. You might be eligible for Workforce Training assistance if you:
- Are receiving food stamps.
- Are in Florida’s Foster Care Program.
- Are a member of a family with low income according to mandated guidelines
- Are an employed worker earning over 200% of the federal poverty level OR are in danger of losing employment without training OR would have an opportunity for advancement after training
- Are pregnant or a parenting youth.
- Have been terminated from your job and are entitled to unemployment benefits.
- Have been laid off from your job or have received notice that you will be permanently laid off due to business closure.
- Have lost your primary source of income as a result of a divorce or death.
- Were self-employed and lost your source of income due to economic conditions or natural disasters.
To determine eligibility, student will complete a Scholarship Pre-Application and submit it to the Workforce Training Center by mail or in person. To download a pdf application, click here.
