UAS Bootcamp

If you are looking for a fast-track to an exciting career in new technology—consider One in the commercial drone industry.

Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) and the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) have partnered to bring accelerated unmanned aviation training to our area. This specialized training is for both those without prior experience and the serious drone hobbyist. Active military, veterans, spouses and their dependents, are especially welcome and given priority approval. Drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles are now being used across a broad spectrum of industries to improve our water, energy, transportation—even healthcare. This technology is deployed for severe weather event monitoring, surveying, photography, agriculture, and even construction projects. The UVS Bootcamp offers new skills that can enhance job advancement for those already working in the Public Safety industry: emergency response, search and rescue, fire and explosions, environmental spills, and law enforcement. The commercial application for remote surveillance is almost limitless!

The UAS Bootcamp instruction is provided by GCSC and USI instructors in a hybrid format (live and online) and can be completed from the comfort of your home. In person flight training will take place on site and will occur at the end of the program cycle in a choice of locations. For questions regarding the curriculum and certifications, please email the Unmanned Safety Institute at info@unmannedsafetyinstitute.org.
