General Associate in Arts Option, Liberal Arts A.A.
The Associate in Arts degree (A.A.) is designed for you to transfer to a Florida public four-year institution as a junior to complete a bachelor's degree program. The A.A. degree provides the courses of study equivalent to those offered in the freshman and sophomore years at Florida's state colleges and universities or you can choose one of GCSC's 4 Bachelor Degree programs. The A.A. degree requirements consists of 36 credit hours of general education and 24 credit hours of electives. You should choose elective courses that are required for admission to the student's intended program of study/major at the desired college or university. Please see GCSC preplanned options for AA programs. Some Bachelor's Degree programs require prerequisite coursework, minimum GPAs, and/or entrance exams. Please be aware that few universities or colleges offer a general degree. Upon application to a university, you must commit to a degree. The Advising Center can provide you with personal attention, developing your guided pathway plan to ensure that you complete the necessary courses for continued education to meet your career goals.
