Graduates of the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College earn a two-year Associate in Science Degree and may apply for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant by examination in the state of Florida.

1. Graduation Rate Data: This is the percentage of graduates by year for the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.

Class of 2017 -> 94.7%

Class of 2018 -> 94.7%

Class of 2019 -> 90%

Class of 2020 -> 94.7%

Average two-year graduation rate for Cohorts 2018 & 2019 is 92%.

2. Licensure Pass Rate Data: This is percentage of graduates that passed the National Physical Therapist Assistant Exam following graduation from the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.  This test is required as a part of licensure as a PTA in the state of Florida.  First attempt indicates the first time the exam was attempted by the class.  The ultimate pass rate is an average pass rate for all exam attempts by the class.  This information is consistent with the information published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

Class of 2017 ->  100% (first attempt); 100% (ultimate)

Class of 2018 ->  100% (first attempt); 100% (ultimate)

Class of 2019 ->  100% (first attempt); 100% (ultimate)

3. Employment Rate Data:   This is the percentage of those graduates who sought employment and were employed in physical therapy within one year of graduation from the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.
