Goals and Outcomes

Graduates of the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College earn a two-year Associate in Science Degree and may apply for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant by examination in the state of Florida.

1. Graduation Rate Data: This is the percentage of graduates by year for the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.

Class of 2013 -> 90.9%

Class of 2014 -> 89.5%

Class of 2015 -> 95%

Average two-year graduation rate for Cohorts 2014 & 2015 --> 92.2%!

2. Licensure Pass Rate Data: This is percentage of graduates that passed the National Physical Therapist Assistant Exam following graduation from the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.  This test is required as a part of licensure as a PTA in the state of Florida.

Class of 2013 -> 95%

Class of 2014 -> 100%

Class of 2015 -> 94.7%

Average two-year licensure pass rate for Cohorts 2014 & 2015 is 97.4%
(This information is consistent with the information published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.  It is an average pass rate for the ultimate licensure pass rate, for two consecutive years.)

3. Employment Rate Data:   This is the percentage of those graduates who sought employment and were employed in physical therapy within one year of graduation from the PTA program at Gulf Coast State College.

Class of 2013 -> 94.7%

Class of 2014 -> 94.1%

Class of 2015 ->100%

Average two-year employment rate for Cohorts 2014 & 2015 is 97%!
