AHA Heartsaver First AId-CPR-AED COURSE
TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN LEARNING THE SKILLS OF FIRST AID-CPR
Anyone can learn First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and knowing what to do in an emergency medical situation can mean the difference between life and death.
The Heartsaver First Aid course is interactive and provides skills-based training. You will learn the critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.
When someone is injured at work or at home, being trained in first aid techniques, CPR and the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) will allow you to help until more advanced care arrives. Knowing what to do in an emergency will give you the confidence to assist someone in need.
Learn how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, heat-related emergencies and other first aid emergencies in this five-hour class. Applying CPR techniques and using an AED can help you save someone who is unresponsive and not breathing due to a number of medical causes.
Dress comfortably and in layers. This is a hands-on course. A textbook is required and is available at the GCSC Bookstore.
