GCSC's VPA presents "Ubiquity" Art Exhibit
The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast State College is excited to present “Ubiquity,” an exhibit by Elyse-Krista Mische.
The exhibit brings together works that preserve a sense of past, present and future, while contemplating the great act of life and the imminence of death. From figures floating in and out of colorful alternate realities to a caped bird-person planting seeds for future memories, the audience is encouraged to never be in exactly one place at any given time.
Mische is a mixed-media illustrator who grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She earned her BA in Studio Art at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI and has been exhibiting her work nationally since 2010. She has completed artist residencies at studios in Washington, Colorado and Texas. Currently, Mische is an artist in residence at the Arrowmont School of the Arts and Crafts in Tennessee.
