Position Title:  College Recruiter I, Welcome Center

Reports To:

Coordinator, School & Community Relations

Basic Function:

Responsible for increasing enrollment at GCSC through varied and strategic recruitment initiatives. Actively represents the college at events within our service area. Assist with organizing Open House, College Fairs and other campus events. Manages, coordinates, and conducts college tours. 

Classification:

  Professional, Exempt

Responsibilities:

Responsible to recruit, coordinate and conduct outreach. To represent the college both on and off-campus to prospective students and parents. Must maintain knowledge of GCSC admissions requirements and degree programs. Skilled in navigation of GCSC website to assist students with admissions application and degree program requirements. Coordinate, manage, and conduct GCSC tours.  Attend on-campus on-going training for admission requirements, ERP system, CAPP, residency, etc. Participate in college committees. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree or higher. Bachelors' degree preferred.

1 – 2  years of experience preferred.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to be flexible in scheduling work hours including coverage demands due to training periods and equipment problems is required. The ability to work flexible hours and regular attendance at work are essential functions of this position. The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business and training is required.

Must maintain knowledge of GCSC admissions requirements and degree programs. Skilled in navigation of GCSC website to assist students with admissions application and degree program requirements.

Valid drivers' license, excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication, ability to deliver approved presentations to individuals or groups. High level of enthusiasm and motivation. 

*Degrees must be from a Regionally Accredited Institution to qualify for position.

 **This position is a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.

Starting Salary:

 $27,270.00/annually
