Our programs are online, on campus, or a combination of both and are flexible to fit your life’s demands. Most of our programs lead to two-year associate degrees, but Gulf Coast’s programs range from a few hours for continuing education and enrichment programs to four-years for bachelor’s degree programs (longer if you need it).

Gulf Coast State College offers you some of the lowest tuition rates of all Florida colleges and universities and we help you financially. In addition to Gulf Coast State College’s main campus in Panama City, you can take courses at the Tyndall Air Force Base Education Center, the North Bay Campus in Southport, Florida, and the Gulf/Franklin Campus in Port St. Joe, Florida. If you are an international student interested in Gulf Coast State College, specific requirements for international student admissions is available to help you through the process.

If you have a four-year bachelor’s degree and want to apply to a program at the Education Preparation Institute, do not fill out an application unless your advisor tells you to do so.

Please contact the Gulf Coast admissions office if either of the following are true:

  • You are enrolled at another school but are visiting the Panama City, Florida area for a few months and would like to take a class at Gulf Coast State College (transient student).  Transient students from Florida public schools can apply online at FloridaShines.  All non-Florida transient students will submit a Gulf Coast State College application.           
  • You want to take a few classes without applying for a degree or certificate program (non-degree seeking student).
