WKGC is a 24-hour radio station serving Northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast State College community. Broadcasting 100,000 watts on a new 420' tower on Gulf Coast’s North Bay campus in Southport, the station plays a fundamental role in communications for the Gulf Coast/Bay County Emergency Operations Center. WKGC is a Florida Public Radio Emergency Network station for the Panama City area. WKGC is an American Public Media radio affiliate and offers the only high definition (HD) radio station in Panama City. Listen at 90.7 FM or streaming online.

WKGC’s Student Run Channel, The Alter Nation

The Alter Nation, Gulf Coast’s student internet radio station, broadcasts 20 hours of student- and community-created programming each week. Staffed by Gulf Coast State College students, the Alter Nation channel gives students in the communications (radio/television broadcasting) transfer track the experience they need to jumpstart their careers.
