FAQs

Q. How much does the Paramedic Program cost?

A. Costs change as prices for equipment, student fees, and tuition can change without notice. This should be a close estimate, and we will try to update the information as it changes.

Q. What about out-of-state tuition?

A. Out-of-state tuition is currently $359.71 per credit hour. In-state tuition is currently $98.75 per credit hour. (Tuition is subject to change.)

Q. I've submitted my application, what next?

A. About two weeks after the application deadline, an invitation to interview with the EMS Coordinator, Scott Williams, will be mailed to selected individuals who have been conditionally accepted.  After all students have been interviewed, Mr. Williams will make his final selection of students for the Paramedic class, and acceptance packets will be mailed to them.

Q. CAN I TRANSFER COURSES FROM ANOTHER INSTITUTION INTO THE GULF COAST STATE COLLEGE PARAMEDIC CERTIFICATE PROGRAM?

A. It is the Gulf Coast State College policy that prior or previous credits from any other accredited college or technical school will not be accepted for transfer into the Paramedic Program.
