Coordinator of Aquatics
A graduate of Rutherford High School and Gulf Coast State College, Carl received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Leisure Services and Studies from The Florida State University in Tallahassee. He is a registered Masters swimmer, competing in open water events, pool competitions and an occasional triathlon. He has been a Masters swim instructor at Gulf Coast State College since 1997. A certified ASCA swim coach with the Panama City Swim Team since 1998. Certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association as an Aquatic Fitness Instructor since 1993 and Aquatic Personal Trainer since 2000. Certified by the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor since 1991. Certified PADI Divemaster and NASE Instructor with 4 specialties. Carl became Coordinator of Aquatics in 2002.
Sharon T. Yarbrough

Sharon received her Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and her Bachelor of Applied Studies in Science and Business from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon is a certified teacher in the state of Florida for Elementary Education (K-6) and Exceptional Student Education (K-12). Sharon has been a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard, certified by the American Red Cross since 2006 for Gulf Coast State College. She is certified level 1 swim coach through USA swimming, and coaching with the Panama City Swim Team since 2008. She is an Aerobics Instructor, certified through the National Exercise and Sports Training Association and a certified PADI Open Water Diver. Sharon became Aquatics Specialist in June, 2013.
