Nursing, AS

Do You Have a Passion for Taking Care of People?

Would you enjoy treating and caring for patients, providing support to them and their families, and educating patients and the public on health conditions?  Nursing is a high-paced, rewarding career that offers employment in many different health care areas including physician offices, hospitals, schools, travel nursing, and many more.

Successful completion of the Associate Degree Nursing program at Gulf Coast State College permits you to take the national exam to obtain a Registered Nurse (RN) license. The Associate of Science degree in Nursing prepares you to work in a variety of positions in nursing and may be the first step toward preparing the Registered Nurse (RN) for further studies (through university programs) to progress in the profession to receive a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, then a Masters of Science in nursing degree, and then a doctoral degree.

Nursing is a very demanding profession.  Be sure to read the job description to see if you  have the physical and mental qualities needed for the job.
