Guided Pathways is a GCSC endeavor to provide students with an academic plan that guides students along a path to reach their academic and career goals. By grouping fields of study by similarities, students can explore options within their interests, experience the best preparation for the six Pathways are identified as the following:
This Pathway is designed for students who are interested in pursuing advanced study that focuses on skills necessary for a variety of careers in multiple industries. You will gain and develop skills such as problem-solving, specific operational skills, quantitative research skills, and technical skills that will position you to excel in your chosen industry.

Pathway Navigators provide initial academic advising and assist students in finding their way around
GCSC. The Pathway Navigator is assigned to the broader Pathway and is knowledgeable
about the general "area".
Faculty Advisors work with students to provide more in-depth guidance about the students' chosen program of study. Faculty Advisors are knowledgeable about the specific major or program of study, and work with students to enhance their university transfer of professional opportunities upon program completion.
