Gulf Coast State College Dental Clinic

The Dental Clinic is now open. Special Precautions using the recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have been implemented to protect our patients, students, faculty, and staff from COVID-19. These precautions include (but are not limited to) pre-appointment screenings, temperature checks, limited seating in the reception room, and extra infection control protocols. We look forward to serving you again in the safest manner possible.

The Dental Clinic at Gulf Coast State College has the latest technology required to give you the best treatment using the best tools in the industry. With almost 10,000 square feet of both educational and professional space, the Dental Clinic provides you with trained students and licensed instructors who deliver quality patient care.

Please remember that the Dental Clinic at Gulf Coast State College is a student-learning environment. The primary provider of services will normally be a dental student or a student assisting a dental faculty member. Dental appointments made in the clinic can be lengthy (up to 3 hours) and may require more than one appointment.

Dental Clinic visits are available by appointment only. The Dental Clinic is conveniently located in the George G. Tapper Health Science Building at Gulf Coast State College's Panama City Campus.

Occupational Safety and Health Briefing:
The Dental Programs at Gulf Coast State College have an obligation to maintain standards of health care and professionalism that are ethically and legally correct and that are consistent with the public's expectations of the health professions. In accordance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030, a Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan has been developed for the Dental Programs at Gulf Coast State College.  These guidelines are established and practiced by all dental health personnel (faculty, staff and students) while as an employee, volunteer or student with the Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene program. These specific guidelines and other Dental Program policies are available for review in the Dental Programs Manual.
