Give your elementary and middle school student (Incoming 4th, 5th, & 6th graders) and unique opportunity to learn, grow, and be challenged through hands-on STEM activities this summer!

All three sessions are the same. Students may only enroll in 1 session.

4 stem stations with a session:

Station 1:

We will rock you! Discover the secret behind our beautiful, smooth, white, sandy beaches. Become a geologist as we examine the unique type of rock in Florida and explore the diverse rocks in the United State. Enjoy making crystals and playing interactive rock games that will rock your world!

Station 2:

Marble Motion Mania - Have you ever thought about the science behind a roller coaster? Become a physicist to help plan, organize, and develop a marble roller coaster, Learn the basics of force and motion, including velocity and acceleration. Engage in different activities to explore the forces around us!

Station 3:

Who Dunnit! Become a Molecular Biologist using today's hottest Biotechnology skills to uncover Who Dunnit! Students act as a bioforensic technicians to figure out which pieces of evidence from multiple crime scenes contain potentially useful DNA information. We will be using technology such as amylase detection. DNA extraction and electrophoresis to collect evidence to solve the crime.

Station 4:

Learn from the Lorax - Help build a better planet by learning about energy, conservation, and pollution in our local ecosystem. Build and alternative powered car, cook your lunch with just the sun, and develop your very own biosphere. We'll investigate all the ways we affect our Earth and find how small changes can make a big difference!


 Student drop-off and pickup location: Language & Literature Building, Sarzin Lecture Hall (Room #38)
  • Camp will be help at Gulf Coast State College
  • Camp is $100 per student
  • Student must bring lunch or purchase in the cafeteria
  • Transportation is not provided
