Academic Counseling

The counseling staff is experienced in working with students who face academic difficulty and can provide you with a personal, informal evaluation of your study skills. After this evaluation, the counselors will work with you to improve your skills that can help you succeed throughout your academic career.

The focus of academic counseling is to provide you with a learning centered environment by:

  • Encouraging, guiding, and coaching
  • Providing technical assistance
  • Nurturing commitments to your academic goals
  • Clarifying your academic outcomes

The Counseling Center is provided to students at no cost and is here for you, if you are in need of assistance. Faculty members can also play a vital role in helping you, if you're experiencing academic difficulty, by referring you to the Counseling Center for academic support.
