Florida Collegiate Purple Star Campus
Gulf Coast State College has been formally designated as a Florida Collegiate Purple
Star Campus. The Florida Collegiate Purple Star Campus Program was established by
the Florida legislature in 2023 and further defined in Rule 6A-1.09991, Florida Administrative
Code. Once awarded, State University System institutions will maintain their designation
as a Collegiate Purple Star Campus for three academic years. The purpose of the Collegiate
Purple Star Campus is to recognize universities and colleges that demonstrate a commitment
to supporting military families as set forth in Florida Statutes.
